I shot Alexe’s big sister Tayler last year, and now it’s her turn! Alexe has this adorable – NATURAL – fauxhawk and what might be the best “sad face” I have ever seen. And if you like the hat, be sure to check out Rock the Cradle for all kinds of awesomeness. Thanks, Jenni! Your girls are so fun!
This little guy has grown so much since his newborn shoot. I mean, obviously babies are going to grow up, but… the amount of personality William Wild has developed in a few short months is awesome. Can you believe that awesome tan sweater was hand-knit? Thanks so much, Will & Jami!
I am so excited to be working with Rock the Cradle, an amazingly cool kids’ clothing store in Denver! (The awesome hat featured above is from their store!) They have fun, edgy, urban, punk clothes and accessories for little ones, and I LOVE their style. Here’s the lowdown:
We’re looking for 4-5 little models, somewhere between six months and four years old, to participate in a lifestyle / fashion shoot at the Rock the Cradle store on Sunday, February 28th. The images will be used on Rock the Cradle’s website and marketing materials. This opportunity is open to anyone (whether you’re a past Cedar House client or not), and we’re looking for kids who are photogenic, cooperative, not shy, and generally comfortable in front of the camera. If you have any questions or think you or your child might be interested in participating in a fun, laid-back lifestyle shoot, please send me an email or Facebook message with your child’s age and a current photo. Please understand that we are looking for a variety of ages and looks, and we might not be able to accommodate everyone who replies, so if you’re interested, please let me know soon! We’ll let you all know by February 14th. There will be a few outfit changes per child, and all models will receive a $50 gift certificate to Cedar House Photography and a $25 gift card to Rock the Cradle. We can’t wait to hear from you!
Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Shelly & Daniel’s engagement session on a cold, windy day in Boulder. Their wedding will be at the FABULOUS Della Terra Chateau in Estes Park this summer, and I can’t wait to shoot there again! This engagement session was a ton of fun, and their enthusiasm and excitement (despite to frigid temps) was contagious. We realized toward the end of the shoot that we had kind of an unintentional retro storefront theme going on… love it! Thanks so much guys! I had so so much fun moving around heavy restaurant tables & playing around in abandoned amphitheaters with you :)
Ohmigosh… we were in the process of crossing the street when I looked back over my shoulder and saw this excellent Mexican restaurant glinting in the sunlight and I made us all turn around. I don’t know who Juanita is, but I’m kind of in love with her for having such a sweet storefront. Haha… it was perfect. And now I really want to go someplace warm and sunny :)
I always love meeting the siblings! I shot Gabriel’s older brother Jaymin about this time last year :) Gabe was so sweet and mellow and serious. I noticed that working with him put me in a good, mellow, chill mood for the rest of the afternoon. He was so calm and easy! Thanks again, Melissa & Scott- you have some amazing boys :)
Dax’s big brother Ben was one of the first babies I photographed when I bought the studio, and I last week I got to shoot Dax, who actually turns one today. Happy birthday, little man! Both of these boys are so mischievous and full of energy – I loved it! Here’s a shot of Ben from his shoot in 2008:
Can you see why I LOVED working with these boys? Okay, so, meet Dax – future Gap Kids model!
And here’s big brother Ben, all grown up! Thanks so much, Becca – it’s always good to see you and the boys :)
